Compliance Officer (f/m)


Your function:
Reporting to the local Senior Compliance Officer you are responsible for the delivery of the Compliance programme within Rabobank Frankfurt Branch in accordance with legislative and evolving best practice, including the management of obligations, rules and codes that govern the authorisation and conduct of banking in the various markets in which Rabobank operates.


Responsibilities include:
Establishment and management of the banks compliance risk policy and monitor systems and controls to create and maintain a compliance culture with applicable regulations including the Banks obligations concerning the following:

• Legal and Regulatory obligations, including conduct of business rules affecting banking operations.
• Money laundering risks including Customer Due Diligence requirements and Sanctions policy under international anti-terrorism provisions.
• Suitability and unfair treatment risks
• Inducement risks
• Licensing/cross-jurisdictional regulations & restrictions
• Conflicts of interest risks
• Market abuse risks
• Transparency risks
• Compliance related policies
• Provide independent advice to the business on transactional compliance issues
• Translate policies into organizational and administrative procedures
• Deliver bank-wide communications and in conjunction with HR deliver training on all compliance related policies and procedures including appropriate introductory training for new employees as well as ongoing training for all employees and managers.
• Manage bank-wide communications and risk assessments on all relevant upcoming European Legislation and local Regulation within the Compliance remit.
• Monitor the local performance of the Compliance Program and related activities on a continuing basis, taking appropriate steps to improve effectiveness.
• Co-ordinate, advise and report on compliance issues/incidents to the Audit & Compliance Committee, Board of Directors and management teams, as applicable.
• Report on a regular basis to Global Compliance RI, as required.
• Taking on the role of the Deputy Money Laundering Officer

Your profile:

• University degree in a Legal or banking related qualification with a major in Compliance or comparable education
• Minimum 3 - 5 years of experience in Banking in a Compliance Role
• In-depth understanding of the Local and European Financial Services Regulatory environment
• Good knowledge and understanding of local legislation.
• Experience in managing and delivering on a compliance monitoring program is necessary
• Ability to manage the requirements of a data access request as they are received into the Bank
• Product knowledge in both retail and wholesale banking
• Fluent in both German and English essential.
